The Altivar 320 variable speed drive (ATV320U75N4B) is intended for powering both 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors. Its compact book-style design makes it easy and space-saving to install in automation cabinets. It supports a rated power of up to 7.5 kW (10 hp) and operates within a voltage range of 380V to 500V AC.

Built for durability, the drive features IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C3 coated circuit boards. That makes it suitable for harsh environments. It can function at ambient temperatures up to 60°C without requiring extra cooling with reliable performance in demanding conditions.

This drive offers essential features for common applications. That include precise torque and speed control at low speeds, high dynamic performance with sensorless flux vector control and an extended frequency range for high-speed motors. It allows parallel motor connections and custom drives that use the voltage-to-frequency ratio. Additionally, it ensures energy efficiency for open-loop synchronous motors while maintaining static speed accuracy.

The integrated drive software includes five safety functions that help meet machine safety requirements. These functions can be configured using SoMove software. The Altivar Machine ATV320 is designed specifically for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and supports both simple and advanced applications. Such as packaging, material handling, textiles, material processing, mechanical actuators, and hoisting systems.

It meets international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (covering immunity and EMC emissions) and holds certifications including CE, UL, CSA, NOM, EAC, and RCM. The drive also supports extra accessories and external options such as braking resistors, line chokes, motor chokes, and EMC filters, depending on the drive's rating.

The ATV320 is designed for vertical panel mounting (+/- 10°) using four fixing holes. It integrates seamlessly into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine platform through DTM, allowing configuration, control, and diagnostics directly within SoMachine and SoMove software using the same software framework (DTM).
