The Altivar 320 variable speed drive (ATV320U15N4C) powers 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors. Its compact size allows for vertical stacking within machine frames. It operates at a rated power of up to 1.5kW (2hp) and supports voltages from 380V to 500V AC. Its sturdy design, including coated circuit boards (IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C3), ensures reliable performance in tough conditions, even at temperatures up to 60°C without extra cooling.

This drive offers features for common applications, such as precise torque and speed control at low speeds, high dynamic performance with sensorless flux vector control, and an extended frequency range for high-speed motors. It supports parallel motor connections, energy-saving functions for open-loop synchronous motors, and static speed accuracy using the voltage/frequency ratio.

The drive includes five built-in safety functions to help meet machine safety standards, configurable through SoMove software. Designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), it meets the needs of applications like packaging, material handling, textiles, mechanical actuators, and hoisting.

The Altivar 320 complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 for EMC immunity and emissions. It is certified by CE, UL, CSA, NOM, EAC, and RCM. Accessories like braking resistors, line chokes, motor chokes, and additional EMC filters are available, depending on the drive rating.

It is mounted vertically (±10°) on a panel using four fixing holes. Fully integrated into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine, the drive can be configured, controlled, and diagnosed using SoMachine and SoMove software. It also complies with environmental protection directives such as RoHS and WEEE.
