SmartX sensors are a series of sensors designed for living spaces, intended to work with SmartX IP controllers and the EcoStruxure Building Operation software interface. These sensors are connected via an RJ-45 sensor bus that delivers both power and communication to the SmartX IP controller. 

The SmartX living space sensors are modular in design, consisting of two components: 

(i) The sensor base 

(ii) The cover

There are four different SmartX communicating sensor base models, each compatible with any of the modular SmartX covers. The SXWSCDXSELXX touchscreen cover shows information such as the current time, temperature, humidity level (if available), CO2 concentration (if available), and the status of heating, cooling, and Eco modes. 

Users can adjust several settings through the touchscreen, including temperature setpoint, overrides, temperature scale, fan speed, and modes for heating and cooling. It also allows control of building environment features such as blinds (open, closed, or adjusted) and their angle. Parameters like setpoint, overrides, display timeout, and display lockout can be configured via the EcoStruxure Building Operation software.
