VSDs are fitted with EMC filters,(see fig 1) and, often, there is a significant current flow (around 6 mA) through the filters to earth, under normal conditions. This can be indicated as a failure during an earth leakage current measurement performed as part of a portable appliance test, although it is a normal characteristic\' of the equipment.

The drive systems with single enclosures are equipped with handling lugs while multiple enclosures with lifting rails for optimum handling with a hoist. Multiple enclosures should not be lifted with the handling lugs, because they are NOT strong enough for this weight. The handling rails are mounted on each fixing screw for the roof on each enclosure. But typically, these rails are removed after installation. Please find attached installation instructions.

Overload current rating. This is an inverse time/current rating that is the maximum current the VSD can produce for a given time frame. Typical ratings are 110% to 150% over current for 1 min, depending on the manufacturer. Higher current ratings can be obtained by over sizing the VSD. This rating is very important when sizing the VSD for the currents needed by the motor for break-away torque.

The meaning of OC1 is over current during Acceleration. This fault appears when the motor is drawing excess current during acceleration. Main probable causes of the fault: 1 The acceleration time ACC is too short.2 The parameter Pt(Motor Control Mode) is incorrect.3 The drive is starting into a rotating load.4 &nb...
