  • Is it necessary to use the protection shield on the top side of the Compact NS>630 if the breaker is mounted in horizontal position.

The white protection shield at the top side of the breaker is for protection and isolation of the bare cable connectors against gas exhaust.   Hence it is always necessary to use protection shield irrespective of the breaker mounting position.   Note: It is not necessary at the down side because the hot gas exhaust is always from the top.

  • Does Compact NS/NSX Switch Disconnector (NA) have the Reflex Tripping.

Yes, Reflex Tripping is available in all Compact NS/NSX Switch Disconnectors. The threshold of the Reflex Tripping auto-protection is about 20xIn and time delay is less than 10 ms, as shown in the attached tripping curves. The Reflex Tripping is due to \'Piston - which is purely mechanical” and not due to the trip unit.   Thus the Reflex Tripping being a mechanical controlled function is also available in the Compact NS/NSX Switch Disconnectors.
