Recovering the System on the HMIG3U
Goals and Symptoms
Currently, our HMIG3U is provided only with the SD Card system.
The goal of this resolution is to provide the system recovery resource that can be used to backup and recover HMIGTU Series.
Causes and Fixes
The Backup Recovery Tool has been validated.
Attached, please find the BackupRecovery.exe and Backup Recovery User Manual
You can also find an pre-made recovery image file that will reset the HMIG3U back to V6.2 SP3.1 state here:
This is a known issue and the PCR PEP0299618R has been created for that.
This issue should be fixed in VJD V6.2 SP4.1
Pending the fix, please restore system operating system to the SD card with the backup/Restore tool and the OS image. After that, insert the SD card back to the HMI unit when it is turned off. Then power the unit back on, the operating system should be restored automatically from the SD card. Please refer the attached file for an example.
In Vijeo Designer, I change the target from an iPC to a non-iPC Magelis Panel. How come the font changed from a Windows font to Vijeo-S Albany?
Vijeo Designer, Magelis iPC, HMIGTO/GTU/STO/STU, XBTG/GH/GK/GT,
If you change the target type to anything other than an iPC, it will change the font to Vijeo-S Albany. That is because the non-iPC target, by default, does not have those Windows font as it is not an iPC target.
A work around would be to enable 'Bitmap Display' on all Text Objects before converting them to a different target. That will enable to Windows fonts in the non-iPC terminals for the Text Objects and that should resolve the issue.
