The maximum number of analog channels that a Modicon M221 Logic Controllers can have are as follows:

For 16 & 24 IO Base Module: 116 analog I/O: 7 modules on the main PLC (each with up to 8 analog I/O) + 7 modules on the Remote I/O (each with up to 8 analog I/O) + One I/O option cartrige (with two analog I/O). + 2 onboard analog input I/O. Modicon M221 Book Logic Controllers do not have an I/O option cartrige slot.

For 40 IO Base Module: 118 analog I/O: 7 modules on the main PLC (each with up to 8 analog I/O) + 7 modules on the Remote I/O (each with up to 8 analog I/O) + Two I/O option cartrige (with two analog I/O). + 2 onboard analog input I/O.

Note: Always verify the power consumtion of M221 supply with Somachine Basic consumption tool while adding expansion module. The Modicon M221 Book Logic Controllers do not have an I/O option cartrige slot.
